Theme Description: The TIMESCAPE of the URBAN FRONTIERSTimescape = What time is it now? or When is the time?
= How to fill the time up? or How to release the time?
Urban Frontiers = the border of the city /Terrain Vague in the city/ the new horizon

Site Location:The site is up to each team’s interest and can be defined respectively along Ming-chuan Road, the south boundary of City Crescent Project in Yi-lan City, which is planned to be widened and become an avenue for through and heavy traffic. The road is currently constituted by public institutions, back side of department store, grounds of ambiguous and vague interfaces, etc.

Design Strategies: Spatial-temporal maneuvering1. Collage/Montage---based on observations of study tour
2. Transform/Program---addressed to here-today-and-tomorrow
3. Structure/Horizon---of the legible, intelligible and imageable wholeness
4. Scenario/ Narrative---for the ‘matrix’ becoming

Requirements:1. 3-min. microfilm---presenting an audio-visualization of timescape demonstrating and imagineering the most possible perspective for M-c Rd.
2. A0 map x 2---mapping the timescape for M-c Rd., presenting in-scale and non-discursive proposal for new relations and patterns to come
